I'm seeing some articles now saying Alsmurfe and others wore devices under thier Jerseys to tip them to what was coming.
If true, that would be a pretty significant violation of the no electronics rule...

Re: Boom! Astros get ASS JAMMED by MLB
I thought the penalties were over the top. Stealing signs is part if the game.
They broke the rules about using electronics and communication and all but a year long suspension for the GM and FM then four draft picks? It seems over the top to me.

Three batter rule?
Manfred announced yesterday that there will be a new rule in 2020 requiring relievers to face at least three batters.
Sothe one out only guys are out of jobs. I kind of despise this rule because it takes a tactic away from managers.

Nats in 7
Incidentally this the closest I have ever lived to an LCS venue. I now work less than a mile from Nats Park. (I wasn't living in Seattle when they went.

Who was our last one? Ichiro? Pitching is the same story. If Felix had been signed by the Yankees he'...

Re: MLB Playoffs contest
I think the world series will be Dodgers Astros. Dodgers in 6. I don't think Hinch will pitch Mr Kate Upton on 4 days rest ever again. The Yanks are looking formidable. That was a pretty good Twins team and the Yanks just dominated them. The Dodgers Nets series has been great to listen to on the co...

Re: So are the M's expecting to completely suck ass in 2020?
I'm a bit more optimistic at this point. Dipoto has until pitchers and catchers report to crush that of course. I don't think Servais is hurting us all that much as a manager. I see a very young team next year with Haniger and Seager leading the squad to be pretty competitive until August. The rotat...
