Re: Tankathon is on!
Did I miss a thread on this topic? How does the dismantling of the scouting department impact future drafts? 1. It looks like we no longer have much presence in the Caribbean/S. America. 2. JD said we will use more video rather than in person scouting. Thoughts? Since we opened this state of the ar...

Re: 8/10 RangerBalls Dunn roped & tied Game Thread
Dunn definitely has a live arm and can be in the mix in the future. Just need to have some vision and coaching from this staff, that's the real issue.

No qualifiers needed here. He looked strong from the first pitch on. Excellent velocity and movement and once he got his control pretty much was unhittable.

Maybe we like nonsensical gibberish.
Sheffield has great movement and good velocity. Control a little shaky, but still looks pretty sharp to start.
Blackmon the current poster boy for "seeing the ball well."

Re: Lesson #101 in inspiration for Scotty Servais
When Big Ugly John Stanton ran off Pinella and Gillick he was announcing that ownership cherished no drama over winning. This has been true of pretty much every manager and GM since and is embodied to the highest degree by Servais. He had no managerial experience, has shown no ability since being hi...

Re: Biggest disappointment and biggest pleasant surprise
For me Vogelbach. 27 yo, spent 8 years in the minors. Was handed the DH position here and just does not look up to it. Unless he turns it around pretty quick it will be hard to rely on him for the future.

And here you have the analytics geek dissing the guy that hit a GS in game 7 of the WS to break the Red Sox 86 yo drought. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpBcwGOvO80 Both solid videos. It's clear that JD has set the table for pure analytics in our future. If nothing else this is going to be very f...
