Re: My HOF ballot
Speaking of the HOF, I read that MLB has decided that being declared "permanently" ineligible ends at death. This means Shoeless Joe (and eventually Pete Rose) should be eligible for the Hall. I don't have a problem with this as long as the suspension is mentioned on the plaque and not glossed over...

Re: Boom! Astros get ASS JAMMED by MLB
Madden wants to let Ohtani hit on the days he pitches Maddon said at the Winter Meetings that he’d be willing to have Ohtani hit on the days when he pitches, which would forfeit the designated hitter. But it would allow Ohtani’s bat to be in the lineup an extra day. As a rookie, Ohtani pitched on S...

Re: Unreal Salary arb numbers
Pretty embarrassing system. If Haniger hadnt missed half the games i would probably complain. As it is we just have an incredibly well compensated pinch runner (imo). If that's the role they would use Mallex in, late inning pinch runner, i would be 100% in favor of having him on the team. James Jon...

Astros fired both of them. I'm thinking that is pretty much gonna force the Sox to axe Cora once his discipline gets handed down, but who knows...

Wouldn't want to be Alex Cora right about now Wonder if he will get a year like Hinch, or longer since he cheated with both the Astros and the Red Sox.

Re: Josh Gordon suspended Indefinitely
Stone: This column is not exactly directed at Josh Gordon and his heartbreaking situation. There are some extenuating circumstances that make Gordon an entity unto himself – the repeated violations of the NFL’s substance-abuse policy (eight suspensions in addition to an arrest for driving while imp...

taking Thyago Vieira place perhaps...Thyago is off to Japan Yeah these High velo no control guys don't do much for me. Oh we can fix him!! Yeah right. Just like you fixed Thyago and Germain Bautista among others. Like driving a Masserati with flat tires. 99 mph fastball with suspect control. More l...

Re: Stone on the Astros problems helping the M's
Seems to me the problem could be solved quite easily. Here is how: Pitcher and catcher talk between innings and decide "When Player A comes to the plate, on the second pitch we will put down signs for a change up and set up low and away. We will then throw a fastball high and tight" Do this a few ti...
