Re: What the Mocks are saying for 18

I like Josh Simmons. I think, once healthy, he could take Abe's spot and Abe can play RG. Abe Lucas is a stud, but he's a cripple at this point. He won't be less crippled because you move him to guard. The athletic abilities are different between the positions. Guards are more about strength, block...

Re: Leo Williams provides some cap relief

The cap is not an excuse, it's a challenge, it takes clever strategy to be good at cap decisions. Teams have staff just for cap strategy. JS hired a guy awhile ago that has a reputation of being clever with it. I don't think I would want to be a NFL gm and have to deal with it. We wouldn't be talkin...

Re: First Sims now Blowers out

I could find out, I've got a great connection. A friend of mine, the brother of my closest friend is blowers brother in law, he's also his lawyer. I met blowers at the wedding. I sat in the wives and family section in 1995 using blowers seats. I guess I wasn't full disclosure about my feelings about...

Re: First Sims now Blowers out

Wasn't a fan of Blowers in the booth. I found him a little patronising. He had this annoying way of calling each play as if he had an all-encompasing knowledge of what just happened he knew it in advance. Worse than we do on Game Threads :D That being said, the article says he has been doing the jo...

Re: So it begins, The official Hot Stove League Thread 2024-25 Offseason

. Here's what Dipoto said about Brash: "Matt’s had a great rehab. You know fingers crossed, he's down in Peoria already. He has really not had a roadblock to date. Our current expectation is that he's ready to go when we start rolling in spring training and our present timeline is that we should ge...

Re: First Sims now Blowers out

I'll miss Blowers, not a big deal but I like having a guy like that on the broadcast, has the background with the team as well as the Bonifieds, like Paul Moyer with the Seahawks

Re: So it begins, The official Hot Stove League Thread 2024-25 Offseason

I wonder if Dipoto's relationship with the GMs has changed, he certainly has been capable of pulling off trades. I said before, I think dipoto is actually pretty happy with things, he doesn't view the need like fans do. He may not as motivated to make trades as he was before. And also he's no longer...

Re: The Purge

Sure, people are free to change their minds, the question is why do they. I doubt musk decided he was wrong as much as he realized there was opportunity in changing it. You will claim you don't care but there is an aspect to weighing a belief system. Is it more about true belief or is it about chang...

Re: Leo Williams provides some cap relief

And there's the draft capital the 49ers wasted moving up to draft that other guy. Did purdy ever save their asses. It's like the Browns, how much draft capital have they wasted. JS was willing to pay for Adams but I get the feeling he's reluctant to with a QB
