Re: Schedule-
It's not controlling it, it's quantifying it. Betting lines drive a lot of it, like fantasy baseball and analytics
Re: Schedule-
Well they aren't playing in Australia, there's that. I thought of you when I was reading this, rest day differential. This chart shows that, in relation to their given opponent each week, the Seahawks sit on the advantageous side of rest. They have a +8 net rest figure that lands tied for the 6th-hi...

Re: Who would have bet?
You know I always go down these rabbit holes... If there was a theft to be reported it was probably the Yankees getting Caballero. The guys the Rays got they've already traded again. Caballero was the guy that got traded mid game. I kinda remember that now but it is pretty funny. During a rain delay...

Re: Breaking: Cal finally to the IL
Some pretty big names were getting platooned by Stengel. Of course it worked. He utilized his talent effectively If you look back at some of those rosters, it’s clear that Stengel knew about percentages because he took advantage of platooning LH & RH hitters on a regular basis. Just using 1954 as a ...

Re: Breaking: Cal finally to the IL
Other than Casey Stengel being considered the "father" of the modern platoon system. There was platooning before him but he's credited with really formalizing it like you're seeing with Wilson today. I mean he's kinda an olden days guy

Re: 5/15/26 Mariners vs Poodres game thread
Im not really following the platoon wars that closely. But something seems to be getting overlooked to me. Connor Joe seems to be hitting pretty well lately. Last 30 days .240/ .345/ .440 /.785. As a pinch hitter .400/ .571/ .600/ 1.171. How is he fitting the narrative?
Re: Schedule-
So I've seen it ranked as the 14th most difficult schedule. They have only the 10th most travel miles. Really can't ask more than that

Re: Breaking: Cal finally to the IL
It better not be 2 months “Obviously, he didn’t make it worse,” Hollander said. “Hopefully, we can get the lingering soreness out of there, and then he can resume baseball activities, but we’ll go week to week with it. Right now, we don’t anticipate this being a long, long time, or anything like tha...

Re: Breaking: Cal finally to the IL
Stupid to wait until his injury became so severe that he could no longer play when it was clear he was hampered by it weeks ago. But that's the Mariners. I guess they wanted to wait until he was 0-50. They gave him three days off because of it. If it is a two month recovery variety then it would se...
