Re: Ok we are down to it so time from a fresh new HC Thread!
Seahawks interviewed MacDonald in Baltimore yesterday. Today he is flying into town for a second "interview" I'd say that its probably close to a done deal and we might be seeing a presser this afternoon.

Re: Mariners acquire Jorge Polanco from the Twins!!!!!
Small sample size, but he has raked at T-mobile. 13-31 for a .419 Avg and a .921 OPS. Also he has hit better on the road than at home for his career which should make it easier to transfer career norms while coming to a team with a pitchers park.

Re: HOFer (inevitable) Ichiro Suzuki
From 2001 to 2011 the Mariners ranked 24th in Runs scored. Just a shame that Ichiro's type of game doesn't lead to more runs because singles and stolen bases have such a low correlation to scoring. He was pretty useless overall, especially when he was 20% of our payroll in the later years. Would ha...

Re: Most obscure Mariner of all time
I was following the mariners, but I wasn't following the minors all that closely in those days. To remember a guy like that you need to anticipate their promotion. It's the internet that changed it Lot easier keeping up on marginal players nowadays Exactly. He would be like Marmalejos or Scheiner. ...

Made his MLB debut against former Mariner Floyd Bannister. Then his second start was against Mitch Wild thing Williams.

Re: Will Rogers withdraws from transfer portal and will remain with UW
They had one tough game against the #1 defense in the entire country and now you think they are going to get dominated by an entire conference? You guys are giving the SEC way too much credit. Yeah the SEC has a couple of really physical teams but they also have a lot of crap in that league. Its no...

I feel like you made this same post last year. Or was it the year before that? Diferent AD now though so hopefully you are right.

Re: HOFer (inevitable) Ichiro Suzuki
I do think that Ichiro will get credit with the voters for his time in Japan. Ichiro also has two batting titles, an MVP, a rookie of the year and a major league single season record. Beltre has none of those. I don't think he will be unanimous but I think he will get more votes than Beltre did.
