What brand of Canadian whisky do you drink? Canadian Club? JP Wiser's? Crown Royal? Gibson's?

I enjoy a dark rum now and then. Lamb's dark is quite delicious.

CC or Crown. Pendleton's is also good.

Vodka is certainly (mostly) bottom-shelf.
They are just above Mad Dog 20/20.

Unless you are talking about a truly great Vodka.

I avoid Vodka because I can't taste it, well it tastes like Perrier to me....a seltzer water. So experience has taught me to avoid it.
Interestingly I only drink Canadian whiskey when I go out.
Go out.
Stay in.
Eat lunch.
Eat dinner.
Watch TV.
Talk.
It's all the same to be.

Usually we mix it with 7-Up or Diet Shasta Grapefruit soda, so its Black Velvet. It also doesn't hurt that a 1/2-gallon is only $12 in AZ.
When I want to mix it up (with mixing), we can to Canadian Club, Canadian Mist or some other mid-to-low shelf blend.
Top shelf stuff for us (no mixing) Pendleton, Crown Royal, Canadian Club 12-year or Gibson's Finest.

I am usually pretty basic. Johnny Walker black on rocks, or what ever scotch I have available. Glass of Red Wine, IPA or Rainier or Miller High Life. That said, if I am ordering or fixing a real drink? I have gotten very good at an Old Fashioned. Bullet Rye is my go to, but any good Bourbon or Rye works. Woodford Reserve works as well. A local establishment uses a Japanese Whiskey and it is one of my favorite drinks here in the Valley. Can never remember the name of the whiskey they use though. The last bartender told me she thinks it is all about the bitters they use, but I don't buy that.

The local beer in Portugal was fantastic. Tastes like beer. I despise IPAs. Love Blue Moon and the like.

Agreed. I like IPAs, but it is literally 95% of the beer you find in grocery and liquor stores out here on the left coast. Give it a rest. But I am lucky in that I can get cases of Pliny the Elder at my local Whole Foods. That I can drink in large volumes.

I am mostly a single malt guy. I lived in Kentucky for a while and developed a taste for bourbons, but I’d rather drink single malts any day. If anyone is looking for a decent blended malt, try Monkey Shoulder.

My $.02 worth in case anyone wants to buy me a round.

I don't mind an IPA once in awhile, but my weakness is brown ales. It's like drinking liquid candy.

Yeah, I spent 15 minutes in the local store trying to find something other than an IPA. Absolutely hate the taste of IPA's. It's like the Democrats telling us we all need to think alike!

If all IPAs you have tried taste alike? You are buying the wrong ones.
