Not So Trivial Trivia Quiz
Re: Not So Trivial Trivia Quiz
Nice catch...!
Re: Not So Trivial Trivia Quiz
Many, many years ago I made a nice catch!
Had a friendly softball game at a party at a friends house. No idea how drunk I was but it didn't matter......everyone was drunk.
Nobody had gloves or equipment because it was an impromptu, friendly, low key softball game at an outdoor party.
I was playing first base, somebody hit a medium line drive foul ball. I took 3 or 4 steps and dove for it.
I caught it.......right in the middle of the beautiful rose bushes of our hostess. It was an ESPN play of the day catch. I came out all bloody from the rose thorns.
Face, hands, arms, torso (yeah, it was a friendly SHIRTLESS, drunken softball game), legs (wearing shorts). Bloody, but a great catch!
All cheered wildly!!! We toasted my great catch. We got drunker. My friend, the hostess (can't even remember her name) was pissed .
I trampled, crushed, broke and destroyed her rose bushes
I bought some new ones, took them over a week or so later and planted them.
It was a great catch!. That's what the legend in my own mind keeps telling me.
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!
Re: Not So Trivial Trivia Quiz
That's a great guess Moe but not correct. The answer is Fred Lynn and Lynn Swan. They were roommates at USC. Your quiz reminded of the question.Moe Gibbs wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 1:39 amNot easy for me.....Scratchiro wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 9:45 pmThis one's fairly easy - one MLB American League MVP and one NFL Superbowl MVP were roommates in college and share the same name. They are...?
I cheated and looked at the list of Super Bowl MVPs and AL MVPs.
Jim Rice and Jerry Rice...?
The answer to my other trivia question is:
Adrian Dantley NBA Hall Of Fame, 1976/1977 NBA Rookie of the Year
Anthony (Tony) Dorsett - Heisman Trophy winner, NFL Hall of Fame, 1977 Rookie Of The Year
Andre Dawson - MLB Hall of Fame, MVP, 1977 Rookie of The Year
