Major League Baseball announced the All-Star replacements today. Since the initial rosters came out on July 4th, 10 players have proven unable to participate for one reason or another. The following players have been added to the rosters for the upcoming All-Star game:
American League
Tim Anderson, SS, Chicago White Sox
Chris Bassitt, SP, Oakland A’s
Whit Merrifield, 2B, Kansas City Royals
Joey Wendle, SS, Tampa Bay Rays

He's a borderline top 10 SS, but he's not an all-star. If he can keep his current numbers (.280/.740) then he'll have a chance at a few all star games because of his defense, and players that have done it for a few years will always get the nod over guys that haven't.

JP has the tools to be an .800 OPS hitter. All Stars are consistent... their numbers don't fall off like crazy.
