The only thing more extraordinary (by our current standards) than this start would be a 3 run home run for JK.
Edit: and normal service resumed

I'm here. Sort of. Working. I've started to make comments 3 times but keep getting interrupted. By the time I get back, an inning has sailed by making my thoughts outdated and irrelevant.
So, Torrens is hot, Kelenic came thru, we've got 7 hits so far and Flexen has been flexible, bending but not breaking.
I'll take the 3-1 lead going into the bottom of the 3rd.
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

A's gutlessly trying to depend on dumb luck to win, it backfires immediately with a DP.

Are there still major restrictions in Oakland? Crowd last night was just 4,140 and looks equally sparse today. Or is it just that their stadium is total turd?

Somebody needs to put that "let's go Oakland" moron out of his misery. I swear the A's have some of strangest and most moronic fans around. I'm surprised one of their own fans hasn't taken that idiot out yet.

Damn FLEX has been Flexen. Him Marco and Anderson have really stepped up. If they can continue I trust those 3 in the playoffs.
Re: M's vs A's who were shocked last night:
The latter. There was a huge crowd for the Giants games this weekend. Kind of like T Mobile on Blue Jay weekends.mostonmike wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 8:47 pmAre there still major restrictions in Oakland? Crowd last night was just 4,140 and looks equally sparse today. Well, here's something different. We get to the other team's starting pitcher, they bring in one of their worst relief pitchers, and we cease to hit.

No This is just the way it always is in Oakland. They don't have a lot of fans to begin with. 3/4 of the people who live in the east bay follow the Giants instead of the A's. Then you throw on top of that a terrible place to watch and a game and a team who ships off their players every time the fan base starts to get attached to them and that's how you get 4000 fans a game.mostonmike wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 8:47 pmAre there still major restrictions in Oakland?
