The latter. There was a huge crowd for the Giants games this weekend. Kind of like T Mobile on Blue Jay weekends.

No This is just the way it always is in Oakland. They don't have a lot of fans to begin with. 3/4 of the people who live in the east bay follow the Giants instead of the A's. Then you throw on top of that a terrible place to watch and a game and a team who ships off their players every time the fan base starts to get attached to them and that's how you get 4000 fans a game.
