I don't mind the contact play there at all. Just means 1st and 3rd instead of 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. Mitch has to get the job done there though.

That is the exact same play as last time where Santana got out at home, and someone was complaining about bad base running.

Its ok with one out or a guy on second as well but I don't like it with no outs or just a guy on third.

I see very little difference with 1 out and no outs.

Why not leave Elias as the closer? We already know Swarzak sucks.

The way i see it we gave up possibly a chance at 2 extra runs cause being overly aggressive. If we lose now, we can put part of the blame on those awful contact plays. Both plays, neither Moore or Santana even had a competitive chance at scoring. They were thrown out by 10 feet

The sad thing is he's Dipotos yes man so we are stuck with Servais. Honestly it may be the year to can them both. I've liked what Dipoto has done, but him sticking with his friend is sinking this franchise even further

Because with no outs if the guy stays at third he can still get in on a sac fly or other productive out.
