Good. 10 straight days of Mariners baseball starting Friday, without the ultra-dumb day off after 1 game.
MLB schedules the day off after the home opener for these exact circumstances.

A postponed home opener needs to be made up somewhere and the following day works best (especially for people who hold tickets to the home opener).
Why didn't they make Monday the off day instead of Friday?

Glad to see they took advantage of it then.

Only thing more annoying than opening day getting pushed back is a day off after opening day.

A rain out of the first series would be annoying too. Hope it clears up.

So dumb they don't have a roof.

Sounds like they're like Seattle people who say it doesn't rain much.

It actually rains probably five times as much in Boston in the summer than it does in Seattle.

Doubleheaders usually means a loss of revenue. ML Baseball is big money, so I'd wonder about the tradeoff of having a retractable roof. The M's have the all-star game in 2023, so the retractable roof comes in handy.

I'm hoping Toro can spell Suarez a couple starts at 3B per week.

I just read in Divish's roster article that Torrens is still a liability behind the plate and hasn't improved at all defensively

I guess it isn't that bad since Friday was open, however it looks like rain is likely for Monday.

Balmy 43* on Friday.

They should not be allowed to host a game until May.

I really don't understand why MLB doesn't mandate that any new stadium that is built has to have a retractable roof. The technology is there for a variety of options for the roofs. It makes no sense to lose out on a game due to weather anymore unless it's not safe for fans/players/workers to come to the park.

They could use US Bank Stadium (Vikings) early in the season. College games are played there. It's a bit cavernous for baseball, and it looks like SkyDome carpet for turf, but at least it's indoors.

The Twins have put together a pretty decent team. We'll see how the M's handle the Twins to start off the season.
