I always remember my buddy in college confidently predicting the M's OF for the next 10 years was going to be Griffey (Craig), Griffey, Newfield. lol He hit .333 on that one obviously.

Sorry, i stand corrected. I had no idea that the 2019 AL All Stars were the only baseball players in the whole entire world and that throughout MLB history there actually haven't been thousands of young prospects who struggled and then didn't become good players. For example, I totally forgot about the three All Star games Dustin Ackley played in and Jesus Montero's two Silver Slugger Awards, not to mention Nick Franklin's two Gold Gloves. Oh, and who can forget Patrick Lennon and Marc Newfield in 1995 carrying the team in Junior's absence?

Ah, reminiscing about all our top prospects that hit it big...and of course that list is not complete without the original Mariner top prospect, Mr. Mariner himself, Al "Choo Choo" Chambers.

I showed that almost every AL All-Star hitter from this year failed at first. Your response here does not support your assertion that "most young players of they fail are going to continue to fail." Even if you're simply talking about sheer numbers and simply making more than half that doesn't mean that answers "All players fail and must adjust" to the point that "I don't want to see players fail ever" is not nonsense. Everyone experiences failure. The players that don't learn stagnate.

Really. I could have sworn my exact words were, "Most young players, if they fail, are going to continue to fail." I have a funny accent so it probably sounded different when you read it.

But seriously, that's a pretty blatant straw man argument there. Believe it or not, the other fellows in this forum do know how to read. You really need to just stop.

We were pretty high on Newfield and in his AAA season at Calgary he put up big numbers, but how could anyone have been high on Craig Griffey? If they had WAR in the minors he probably put up negative WARs every season.
