In the athletic Mail bag , he went through many people what were in Major at his age and the one that suffered like he has and put it together, many didn’t but there a lot of big name that did. I belive only 250 people have only played as much in history at age 21/22bpj wrote: ↑Sat Dec 17, 2022 6:44 amThere's a scary thought.
Chris Taylor in his first 253 plate appearances had a .592 OPS and 71 wRC+.
Kelenic has a .589 OPS with a 69 wRC+ in his first 558 plate appearances.
By the time Chris Taylor got to 886 career plate appearances he had raised his career numbers up to .760 OPS and 105 wRC+.
Personally, I don't think Kelenic ever puts it together in Seattle, but I can see why the Dodgers may be looking for lighting in a bottle again.
Kelenic has two types of splits.
His vs. LHP/RHP OPS splits are .471/.658
His Home/Away OPS splits are .526/.656
Maybe we could just bat him against RHP in Away games...
