Although as Jerry has many times said "the season is a marathon" and we are now in contention for the division and playoffs....

I will never forgive his horrible offseason and lack of at the trade deadline to improve this team.

If they put half as much importance on the first two weeks of the season as they do on the last two we wouldn't be in this situation.

Just my "Mr. obvious" two cents.
What free agent should the Mariners have signed last offseason (if the player were willing to come to Seattle)?

What trade targets did the Mariners miss?
Bellinger. Swanson. Olson. Seager. Semien. Soto. Schwarber. Xander. Turner. Nimmo.
Thanks for the list but Matt Olson, Corey Seager, Marcus Semien and Juan Soto were unlikely to be traded last offseason.

Oh but you underestimate me I have the brain power to go all the way back in time to 2021-22 when Jerry thought Robbie Ray was the best option.

Six-figure contracts for starting pitchers are risky and the Mariners might be fortunate to get a decent return on one of two six-figure contracts for starters.

Heading into the most crucial 10gms of the season. Wishing we were facing Houston first the way they are playing but great pitching matches that series so. Texas is hitting right now so hopefully our pitching can hold them. We'll deserved day off then come.out and finish strong

Yep, that's exactly when they should have added.

Players were at a steep covid discount.

Then they missed the playoffs by a game but some people thought it was a success because they "weren't ready".

If the Mariners had added 4 good players in 2021 (2 pitchers/2 bats) we would have been a great team since 2021 instead of a fringe team.
