According to Cots the Dodgers are currently about $60M under the luxury tax limit for 2024, but they have another $65M falling off the books going into 2025 so they seem to have the flexibility it would take.

I think the Dodgers will be the ones to do what it takes to get him.

So if Ohtani signs with the Blue Jays and Soto going to the Yankees, the East will be loaded. The M’s have to do something more than Urias at 3B and dumping payroll. They need several impact players and I don’t see us spending what is needed to get them. Why would Ohtani want to come here anyway since the ownership doesn’t really care about winning?

I watched a "locked-on" podcast where they shared some Yahoo-Japan's reporter that: "Basically Seattle was the last team to interview with Ohtani and that Seattle offered a 1 year 65M offer."

I don't believe it because that ownership group is trash. And, I think we just became "The Seattle Losers"
