2018 Draft WAR by team:

Angels: 7.2
Astros: 8.7
A's: -1.2
Blue Jays: -0.6
Braves: 1.0
Brewers: 7.9
Cardinals: 14.7
Cubs: 11.3
Rays: 11.0
DBacks: 8.5
Dodgers: 2.4
Giants: 1.8
Indians: 12.8
Mariners: 14.7
Marlins: 2.9
Mets: 1.3
Nats: 1.8
O's: -0.9
Padres: 0.9
Phillies: 2.6
Pirates: -1.3
Rangers: -0.7
Red Sox: 3.3
Reds: 7.7
Rockies: 0.3
Royals: 9.2
Tigers: 7.8
Twins: 7.9
White Sox: 2.6
Yankees: -0.2

Based on this I shall raise my grade to A-. The minus is for wiffing on 2nd round pick Stowers who was traded for Shed Long who sucked.

Do the St. Louis Cardinals get a pass for spending their second first-round pick on righthander Griffin Roberts, who has posted an ERA of 7.49 over four minor league seasons? Or the Cards' second-round pick, first baseman Luken Baker, who has posted a negative 0.4 bWAR at the Major League level?

In 2018 the Cardinals scored big in the seventh and eighth rounds with Brendan Donovan (6.1 bWAR) and Lars Nootbaar (6.1 bWAR), who account for the bulk of the Redbirds' 14.7 bWAR total from that year.

I did a similar exercise for his time in Anaheim. He had 4 drafts The only player he drafted there that put up more than 5 career WAR is David fletcher.

Should stick to drafting pitchers. Seems day-blind when it comes to hitters.
