I doubt i'll even follow the Mariners this year. I watched ZERO games last year but i did follow the games online and listen to the radio broadcasts. Perhaps i'll check the standings once a week for gits and shiggles.

It's become hard to root for them when Dipoto & Co. have had an opportunity at the playoffs the last three years straight and it seems like he's done the bare minimum to try and get across the finish line each year.

And this offseason has felt no different. Very frustrating.

It wasn't much later in the offseason than this when Dipoto signed AJ Pollock last offseason...

I picked 70-80 because they dropped 5 of their top 10 hitters and have replaced with 1 that is pretty solid and 2 bounce backs. This pitching looks about equal to what they had last year. They dropped a good BP but brought in a few guys that could be even better as well as calling up a guy like Prelander B. I know the WAR says 87 wins but they need to replace the run production Just to get back to a realistic upper 80s to 90-ish wins.

I would prob go 70-80 if the season started tomorrow but it doesn't and there will be more moves....for better or worse.

I voted 70 to 80 based on right now roster, and unhappily I'm not convinced more meaningful moves between now and OD are going to happen. I suspect Seattle ownership is using the issues with Root as an excuse to not spend more.....

You seem to thrive on negativity. Following the M's should be right in your wheelhouse.

I am not the least bit optimistic with the roster we have right now. We have a gaping hole in right field. And left field. I’m unimpressed with our infield situation. We brought in a guy who hasn’t had a professional hit at T-Mobile to DH. Our only saving grace is our pitching.

I kind of get the sense that we are done for the offseason. If this is the case, then yikes.

I am intrigued by the Braves. They have made some I interesting offseason moves that could really pay off. Sale may find his second wind and it would be just our luck if Kelenic became an all star. I will be following the Braves with some interest next season.
