This is probably just the beginning of the issue for Brash. Even if he avoids TJ this year, it's happening at some point.

So Brash felt pain on Feb 20th and they finally get the results 9 days last and that delay means he won't be ready for the season. If they diagnosed it in a day or 2 he would have been ready in time.

Medial inflammation is on the inside of the elbow where the bicep meets the forearm. The Ulnar Collateral Ligiment is on the outside of the elbow. It basically wraps around the funny bone. This is on the complete opposite side of the joint so it shouldn't be an indicator of impending Tommy John surgery.

It's still be a question of resting it which they have been doing since they shut him down

Not sure that is accurate DT, he can’t start throwing till Tuesday even with the Diagnosis, probably same time frame if they had diagnosed it early to allow for area to calm down. It is not like they have had out there throwing or not treating anything in the time. Rest is the normal treatment to start with.

This is wrong. The ulnar collateral ligament, is by definition the medial collateral ligament of the elbow. The bicep meets the forearm anterior to the arm and at the radius. Anatomical position is standing with palms facing forward.

No it’s not. I know what I’m talking about here. Medial epicondyle is where the muscles attach that cause epicondylitis, but there’s also a medial ligament (the ulnar collateral ligament). They don’t specify that he has epicondylitis, they just say medial elbow, which could include the ulnar ligament. When talking medical terms, medial includes the ulnar ligament.

I get that you have had injuries, but I have 15 years medical experience. Nothing they have said excludes Ulnar ligament from being a problem.

You really think they would be letting him throw again this soon if it was his UCL?
