Here is an interesting stat I just heard on MLB Tonight....

Juan Soto has had 3740 plate appearances in his career. He has 167 PA with a 3-0 count and has only 15 official at bats. That means he has 152 walks in 166 PA's . In those 15 AB's where he hasn't walked, he has 7 hits with 4 HR's.

Just a dream to spend $450mill to get him to play for the M's

This Japanese lefty is very very tough. He shut down the mvp lineup Dodgers. He is gonna feast tonight. Another Sombrero tonight incoming. Not sure who though. Julio had double digit again and another warning track flyout. This is a make or break start for Hancock. Keuchel dominated again last night in AAA very hittable environment. Might have a start or 2 until Woo returns and who knows. Former Cy young. Soft tosser ground ball guy. Will see. Next 2 games very dominate pitchers to start the season. Not looking gold with who we got on offense. Bottom 3 is a joke 7ks between them 3. Hope I am wrong!

This the third game of my promised 3 game win streak for TLO. I might have said two if I had saw this match-up ahead of time.

Hancock is such a disappointment. He was supposed to be the #1 college arm out there and then is upper 90's turned into low 90's and flat.

The good news is Woo is making progress:

April 13, 2024
Woo (elbow) threw an up-down bullpen session Friday and could head out on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma at some point next week, SeattleSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The update comes via Mariners general manager Justin Hollander, who added Woo will need to get in a live batting practice as his next step before engaging in a three-inning rehab start. Woo would likely be set for two rehab starts overall with the Rainiers whenever he does make it down to the farm, per Hollander, and he then would be evaluated for possible activation.

Brash threw a live batting practice early this week, and Mariners general manager Justin Hollander noted Friday that the hard-throwing right-hander emerged from that session feeling good. If Brash's second live BP goes equally well, Hollander estimates it will be just a matter of days before Brash heads down to Tacoma for a rehab assignment of a yet-to-be-determined duration.

It seems like were 1 week min from getting Brash back and 2 weeks from Woo at a minimum.

But let's win this one today

I thought Dallas was one of the guys that robbed one of Felix's 3 CY seasons. I was wrong. It was Corey Kluber's 2015 where he got 17 1st place votes to Felix's 13. Felix got one more out 236 innings of 170 ERA+ vs 160 for Kluber.

In Felix's other 2nd place vote he was only awarded two 1st placers on a 171 ERA+ season because Zach G was a 10.4 WAR 205 ERA+ stud that year.

Nice start for Hancock. Ump has an enormous strike-zone though.

Yes throwing hard good to see!

Wow of all people Urias comes through to tie the game. Garver sucks Moore just missed it. Zavala should not be on the team. Papierski is off to another great game. Bring him up Zavala is horrible
