Yep bad division. Gotta say though Texas is hurting but Mariners gonna make sure to keep them close when they get healthy go on a long win streak and our season ends. We have no shot at a wc. Too many other great teams. Only shot is the division. Damn not firing Scott and making Vogt manager. Don't know why Scott is getting another year. He just missed out on the playoffs last year should have been final nail in the coffin. Softest will never win franchise in all of Sports.

Royals got one lucky swing and won the game. Just absolutely gutless baseball. I would like to see us drop Velasquez tomorrow.
One thing about Gilbert is he always has this great WHIP but an ERA that doesn't really match up to it because he has a knack for giving up big hits.
Man, these guys just can not put two games together.

He has a great WHIP because he's always in the strike zone. That can work against a pitcher. Hitters can sit on him
A strike-thrower that fills the zone, Gilbert is currently control over command, but his ability to throw all four pitches in the zone keeps hitters guessing. At the big league level he'll need to refine his command to keep hitters off balance, but his easy, repeatable delivery signals at least above average command moving forward

Except that's not why he gave up 3 runs last night.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 7:46 amHe has a great WHIP because he's always in the strike zone. That can work against a pitcher. Hitters can sit on him

He was gassed and lost his command. He started the inning with a walk. He missed his location with the slider by 2 feet on the inner half on the home run he gave up.

“He’s a throwback and he’s quickly becoming a favorite of many on the coaching staff, just because he’s not afraid (and) he plays the game extremely hard,” Servais said. “One of my favorite things is – when he hits a base hit – is how hard he runs to first base and how he rounds first base, kind of like when you were taught in high school.”

I saw that as well. Love that guy. He's not a FA until 2029Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 4:54 am“He’s a throwback and he’s quickly becoming a favorite of many on the coaching staff, just because he’s not afraid (and) he plays the game extremely hard,” Servais said. “One of my favorite things is – when he hits a base hit – is how hard he runs to first base and how he rounds first base, kind of like when you were taught in high school.”
