When you need to bring in a Mariner from 20+ years ago to ignite passion your team, something is wrong.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 6:19 pmHe works for the mariners. Think we are getting a little carried away calling with the criticism
Why can't the manager do it?
Why can't the players get in each other's faces and hold each other to account?
There's a problem with the Servais/Dipoto culture... always has been.
There's no accountability in this team... just players singing Kuymbaya and "helping each other with their swings on the plane and in the kitchen of hotels."
I wanna see some fucking fire for once.

Where does it say he was brought in to ignite passion? He visited the team he works for. I assume he knows all the guys. It just never would have occurred to me to read it that way. Maybe there's something else you heard about it that in not aware of

First and foremost, Cameron still works for the Mariners on special assignments, so he always makes a few appearances per year, which is great to see. Secondly, it's always fun to see alumni come back to support the organization and to connect with the players. That isn't the case in every organization but the M's do a good job (mostly) at allowing alumni access to players and coaches.

Fire instead of all smiles. It gets old watching Julio be so cool and suck so badly. So sick of this, Do other teams give so long of a leash with mediocre players, give the coldest guys on the team the 3 or 4 spot night after night and then bench the hottest hitter consistently. It just never seems to change just the excusesSeattle or Bust wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 7:21 pmWhen you need to bring in a Mariner from 20+ years ago to ignite passion your team, something is wrong.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 6:19 pmHe works for the mariners. But not too much fire like kicking water coolers, not too emotional, not too unemotional

Today is a must win. Logan has gotta pitch well and offense has to get going. Can't lose again to a bad team come on!
Re: Saturday in DC Gamethread. 5-25
I went to take a whiz before first pitch and I come back and it’s the bottom of the first?
WTF?!
WTF?!

This might be the craziest play I have EVER seen. CF tags out the runner at Home plate.
