Re: 2024 Prospects thread
Maybe they see an okay starter but a potentially elite reliever. And there's no rule saying he can't go back to starting at some point. It isn't the usual thing, but there are precedents.
Re: 2024 Prospects thread
So it’s about time they bump up Victor Labrada to see what he can do in AA

Re: 2024 Prospects thread
They jack Clase up and down for no reason but keep Locklear who is 1.5 years older down so Garver "has time to turn it around" Joke of an org.

Re: 2024 Prospects thread
Are you serious? They signed Garver to a 2 year deal. You're not going to pull the plug after 60 games. You have to start throwing months out and just look at what is Garver doing in the here and now. April is done and dusted. You're not going to be able to go back and edit that .143/.255/.298 slash. So lets focus on June.
Garver's going to produce. So he's not going to have the season he had last year, but he is likely in store for a really big July and August and maybe September, too
Re: 2024 Prospects thread
He's 21? You were worried about a 2-month slow-ish start in AA?
Bro, sometimes we need to just look away from the daily box scores, trust in these kids' work ethics and the talent that got them drafted, and just let the season bear out. You know? Look at the macro not the micro of every single day.
Re: 2024 Prospects thread
Yeah let's keep running his ass out there every day until the trade deadline like we did with Wong which cost us the playoffs. If you can't see he is cooked, I don't know what to tell you. I don't care that they were dumb enough to sign him for two years. Sunk cost.Vogelbomb wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 4:25 pmAre you serious? They signed Garver to a 2 year deal.
