Yohan Ramirez.... weakens Astros's farm, big guy six foot four, Dominican Republic, power arm, only 24, 320 plus strikeouts over less than 300 innings in minors.... I can live with this pick, plus curve, some problems with control and mechanics....
Mariners also took a catcher from the Cardinal system to bolster their catching depth.... this in minor league draft... and the M's took an outfielder from the Marlins system in the 3rd round.... So we head home with three new members of the M's system.

Why does the site keep making me Login and only work 27% of the time when I try too?
I'm all for adding young depth to the organization. Especially from the Astros system. Does this mean that L. Newsome or any Mariner minor leaguers for that matter went undrafted!?

The Rule V is a nice way to get free RP.
Tell you what, I'll take this guy over Zipchin or any of those other $7 Mil relievers because (when the time is right) it leaves money to put towards your TOR or MOTO, the only places I would spend significant payroll.
