Pretty amazing that we watched Matt Olson and Freddie Freeman get traded the last couple years and Dipoto was like, "Nah, we're good. We've got Ty France..."
Olson was traded, FF was just a F.A..

Thanks for clarifying. Guess we know why he got crossed off the list...

Signing Santander and then trading Randy for an INFer might work too.
I have read where Randy prefers to get back to the east coast. If so I am on board for trading him.
Yeah I wasn't very impressed with him...wouldn't mind him gone. Again, why would Jerry say the OF is set like Randy had a good year last season when he was mid at best.
My sentiments exactly.

He didn't say the outfield is set, that's what he said, and it's true. It probably is the outfield moving forward.
"Our outfield moving forward, I think you're looking at it," Dipoto said. "Signing (Robles) to an extension. And Julio is really showing us over the last six weeks what he has always done. When he's him, he's right. And bringing Randy in at the trade deadline is a positive thing for us. And Luke Raley had a terrific year. In many ways ... he was probably as exciting a player as we had on the field often."

I posted what he said
I think you're looking at it
. That's not an obligation, it's a fact. He's got four decent outfielders that most likely will be on next seasons roster

Interesting that he mentioned Raley in one of those but left him off in the other one. I guess they can rotate through DH and 1B for Raley.

I think that's the reporter, damned reporters. They are four deep in the outfield which is what you want. For me it's not an issue, it's what's needed to navigate a season if you're serious. You can't depend on three legitimate outfielders for an entire season. Which to me is pretty remarkable, that he's managed that much depth. I wouldn't expect him to try and improve on it. He isn't expecting it either

We have 4 starting OFers and Zero legit INFers. Master class in roster construction.
