In the FWIW category, Jim Bowden of the Athletic said this in his article today:

10. The Mariners sign first baseman Christian Walker (three years, $72 million), improving offensively and defensively at the position. Seattle also lands second baseman Brandon Lowe (two years, $24 million) after Tampa Bay doesn’t pick up his option
I'd do a 2 year deal for Walker, not sure if I like 3 though

Rays exercised their option on Lowe

I knew they would. Bowden is a dope.
Notice how I started...."For what it's worth..." i agree that Bowden is an idiot

They still could trade Lowe

I think that's why thinking they'd just let him go seemed pretty crazy.

Joc Pederson declines option and is a FA. Over a .900 OPS last season. Adds more supply to the DH/1B market which is good for us.

I don't think Pederson is much of a first baseman, the Giants tried it in spring training but he didn't play there during the season. He's a terrible outfielder. He dhed 100% for the dbacks

I guess that's AI generated
The Giants expected Pederson to play first base after he worked on his infield skills during the spring. He took ground balls at first base during batting practice and alternated reps with LaMonte Wade Jr., the team's primary first baseman. The Giants believed Pederson would be less harmful at first base than in the outfield
I guess he tried coming to spring training in better shape, he has a dad body apparently. It's just strange, guys that can hit but can't play the field. As apposed to the all glove no bat kind.

Well we don't need a first baseman so that's not a big deal

Yes guessing this off season will be about as exciting as watching the AstroTurf in my backyard grow.
Jerry's offseason plan, in one gif.

That was fast. Delusional Angels strike again.

Sending Griffin Canning to the Braves. Canning was a top-70 prospect in baseball in 2019 but never lived up to the hype.
Looks like a salary dump on the part of the Braves, especially with Acuna coming back.

The bigger question, of course, is what the hell they'll do with Kelenic.
Here is a half-hour Atlanta podcast on Jarred Kelenic:
