His value is $15M for one season. I proposed Farmelo who is at $21M for him straight up.

Pull a Matt Olson. Sign him and extend him. He’d be worth it if he’d be willing to play for the M’s for the long term.

The Braves did it. So, too, could we if we had the cahones.

Just trade for him regardless. Offer him a QO if he doesn't want an extension. No Brainer.

I think the Mariners will be in on this one. Farmelo could be the main piece but they might be concerned about his injury history. My guess is they'll want Montes plus two more bodies.

I don't think he will sign an extension because the Jays were rumored to continue the push for an extension for their own team.

I'd do the trade. The money is a factor though. I'd be OK with Vlad @ 1B or 3B. B-Ref says he is basically league-average at both. Vlad, Lowe, +?
