Well they don't stand between the mariners and a WS appearance
No. You’re right. They stand between every team and a WS appearance. This is bad for baseball, full stop.

Kiss our “we have the best rotation in baseball” goodbye.

We have, at best, the second best rotation.

And the 29th best offense.

This is a shit show and a half. And the M’s front office sits back, pretends everything is copacetic, and then takes a bath in their money like Scrooge McDuck on coke.

They are in the national league, they really aren't the mariners concern until they manage to actually get to the WS and had to face them

The thing I don’t get is why these players have no honor. What happened to wanting to beat the best? What happened to wanting cement a legacy?

Your dream is to play second fiddle to Ohtani, Betts and Freeman who already brought the org a title?

I don’t get that at all.

Well the sad reality is the chance to get paid top dollar with salary plus endorsements AND play for a WS ring every year is hard for anyone to pass up.

Agreed.

But Sasaki did not get paid top dollar. He was a bargain basement deal of the century.

“six years of club control and will earn a rookie salary in 2025 (in addition to a $6.5 million signing bonus)”

lol these trade proposals are always funny... I think - just guessing.. - that TOR MIGHT want more than Ford/Locklear for one of the best 1B in the game, even if its just for 1 year... that might work July 31st but not now.

I mean Ohtani was paid $700 Million playing for a floundering Angels team where he got hurt like 3 times. I at least respect that decision b/c it wasn't like he joined NYY or Boston at the time.

"The chance to play for a WS ring"... bleh... if I'm in an athlete's shoes... I'm taking pride that I elevated a team to a title... fk riding on the coat tails to get there. It's so lame. He'll never be a beloved player.

More proof that you will be a conservative before the M's win a WS. :)
