Another day, another day of nothing.

23 days until game 1.
basically 3 more weeks... can't frickin' wait
so fired up for this season. So many things I want to see and hear about from Wilson but I'll save that for another thread I guess
That is definitely a massive positive. I don't LOVE Wilson or HATE SS but I don't think it was a coincidence that the team played and hit a lot better with him at the helm. Happy SS is gone. I can't wait either. Only two more days of the shittiest month of the year then pitchers and catchers report day will be in sight!

I guess you better show up at Spring training than. And give your full assessment. YOU can't see or hear if you are not there.
?? Have you heard of a newspaper? Of the radio? And pretty sure I can see from photos published and whatever gets televised

You can firmly put me in the corner of SS was a problem. I didn't like his constant lineup shuffling, I didn't like his platooning, I didn't like his hold of JP at the leadoff spot for so god damn long when he was struggling mightily and I sure as hell didn't like his early hook on SPs. Here I was thinking "well, its just April, but mid-May he'll let the starters go 110, 115" hahahahah yeah right!

I also didn't like his milquetoast reactions. The dude never got after umpires when his hitters or pitchers were getting fucked. He took about 3 weeks to give Robles every day ABs. He held JP and Julio 1-2 despite nothing doing for months! And his late-game scenario managing, runners on 2 & 3 no outs, need a run to go ahead or tie, he did nothing. Zero strategy from his ass. Just looking at those analytics, hoping for a big inning.

One of the big things I'm really curious about and hope someone asks Wilson is how the pitching injury report delivered at Winter Meetings will affect the way he uses his starters. Has it changed the orgs thought process on how many innings, how many pitches they can throw? What we were essentially told is there's no correlation between innings and injuries or pitches thrown and injuries. One issue was offseason work, pitchers trying to amp up their spin rates and not letting their arms rest. Another was the max effort.

For me, if I'm Wilson and Woodworth, I'm trying to figure out how to get as many innings as I can from that rotation. These dudes are all in their prime right now. You just pushed the back end starters -- Woo, Miller, Hancock -- to 135, 175 and 155 innings, respectively. They are ready to go 165-215 now. The gloves are off. It's time to rock with these boys. (Yes, Hancock is the arm in waiting)

Seriously if this is the result they should have just kept Rojas. It's a clownshow over there.

They are paying him DOUBLE what Rojas would have cost.
