Your “on pace” should more reflect 10-27 than 23-29.
Explain your #'s please. You lost me.............
If you use 23-29 as a base, they’re on pace for 72, but using 10-27, excluding the inexplicably weird 13-2 start, they’re headin toward 63 or so.
You mean 53 wins. 53-109 to be precise. And, if they trade away EE and a few other semi-productive pieces, that is entirely reachable.

Actually that yields a 53-109 record.

Well, today was a new low. The Rangers basically conceded this game by going to the dregs of the bullpen merry go-round. So with those guys pitching and the Mariners turning five double plays, they lost 2-1.

Considering that some of the big boppers aren't going to be here come July and our struggling rookies will be playing full-time, we could well be seeing a MLB team actually losing 100 games after starting 13-2, which nobody else in 150 years has ever even come close to doing. As much as I love this team, there's that perverse side of me that wants to see them do it and have the worst defensive team in MLB history. Man, why am I even thinking that?

Who am I to challenge what a Mariners’ Realist thinks?

Not after being a fan for 28 crazy ass years!
