LOL, great minds think alike. Like I said, typical Mariner reporting. Everything is sunshine and rainbows. These dudes get paid to write this shit.

.241 opens eyes, Masterbater, Donnie Barrels and Mitch fucking Garver are somehow assets to this team, and being just outside of the playoffs after nearly a decade long rebuild is perfectly fine. Wash rinse and repeat. I kept my Times subscription because they mail me the Sunday paper for free, and I need paper to start my fire pit! Oh, and it's dirt cheap, which is all that it's worth. I do enjoy the Husky and Seahawk reporting more, but it's just sick how much these guys kiss ass with the Mariners, and to a lesser extent the Hawks.
well considering league average is about .245/.718, Canzone could be surprising those folks that didn't think he was quite league avg

you guys really need to remember context. It's like you still think this game is being played in the 1990s with steroids and pitchers that didn't avg 97 mph

Did I say I expected .300? I just find it surprising that .241 opens eyes. You can be as impressed as you want, I don't give a shit.

It was also in 32 plate appearances. He is an 0 for 4 away from being around the Mendoza Line!

And actually? He is now at .233. 7 for 30. So, if he goes 0 for 4 and is then hitting .205, does he suck ass, or is he still league average? Jesus Christ the bar is low here.

I hope he goes off, but if what you see at .241 in 32 plate appearances opens your eyes? We won't agree here.

Are you speaking to me or to the general public? I didn't say anything one way or the other. 32 PAs is nothing. Fwiw, I think he's a player that can contribute. Would rather see him trotted out there every day than Tellez or Moore

It's Rowdy that's moving on and out the door.
Tellez has been kicked to the curb.
I'll always remember his stolen 2nd base from a couple of days ago. A 6.5 thing of beauty quake.
He was ranked the slowest runner in mlb but I guess that sb proved them wrong.....
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

Well I'm glad I don't have to watch that fat teletubby anymore. Can't believe Mastrobuoni and Solano are still on this team, though. Call up Ford and Taylor

I answered you didn't I? Below was what you said. Seemed to be insinuating that the local reporter telling us .241 in 32 PAs "opens eyes" is OK....no?

I don't need to remember context, but what I would love is if rather then reporting that .241 was opening eyes, these guys actually called it like it is.

20th in MLB in Batting Average isn't good enough.
20th in Strikeouts isn't good enough.
18th in Slugging isn't good enough
16th in Runs scored isn't good enough
15th in OPS isn't good enough

Not when you are no longer dominant on the mound.

14th in ERA
18th in WHIP
18th in HRs allowed
19th in BA against

Pathetically mediocre. But? Profitable! So who cares right? Certainly not the fans or the local media. Your Bullshit about League average is all this team cares about. Let's be between 15th and 20th. That'll be good enough to win between 50 and 55% of our games, barely miss the playoffs, and make money!

When .241 opens eyes, that is what it tells me. When a reporter prints that like it's fucking OK? That reminds me just how pathetic the media in Seattle is.

Fire the OC and draft one O Lineman. Look out, we are going to pound the rock now. That's all the buzz this summer about the new Seahawks! Bullshit. Run it twice so Darnold can throw a pick on third and 7. I can't wait.

Fire the manager and hitting coach, add a bunch of shitty ass hitters. Look out, we are gonna win the Division now. Oh, they can't hit and the pitching regresses. Weird.

Wash fucking rinse and fucking repeat. I'd like to see the media call them out for this shit.

.233 is opening eyes. Fuck them. Telling me they are happy he is league average is everything that is wrong with Pro Sports in Seattle. Which I guess is fine, since the entire city is going to shit anyway.
