Why, so we can get more AB for Dylan Moore, who somehow had a worse month in June than polo had in May. DMo has 1 hit and probably 24 K in his last 42 PA

It feels like Polanco is going to hit like this for the rest of the season and his hot start was a mirage. All he ever does is ground out to second.
Which is more than D-Mo can say, I don't know if I've ever seen a Mariner have a 40+ at-bat streak worse than what he has. He looks like a drunken bum that got pulled off of 1st Avenue. Especially that first at-bat yesterday where he looked at two meatballs and then swung straight up like Charlie Brown.

What am I saying? I am saying Solano is a right handed hitter signed as a platoon partner to hit left handed pitchers. You are saying for his career he's hit right handed pitchers twice as well as he has hit lefties? Taking a quick look at his annual splits they look pretty even the last few seasons. it doesn't change the fact that a half seasons splits is too small a sample size to question using a right handed hitter against a left handed pitcher. Am I missing something?gil wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 3:55 pmWhat do you mean?Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 2:25 amSo Solano is suddenly a reverse splits hitter? So of course he is our starter against a lefty and we pinch hit for him when the other team brings in a rightie.
How many people work in analytics for the Ms?
Maybe we need to hire DOGE.![]()
I just checked, and for his career, Solano has hit very similarly versus L or R.

How does the same human put up a .903 OPS in April and then turn into complete shit for the next two months. Bizarre year.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 4:21 pmIt feels like Polanco is going to hit like this for the rest of the season and his hot start was a mirage. If he splits are the same for his entire 15 YEAR career then why was he sign to platoon vs. LHPs?Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 4:58 pmWhat am I saying? Why not? It's certainly isn't a reason not to bat him against a leftieD-train wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 5:06 pmIf he splits are the same for his entire 15 YEAR career then why was he sign to platoon vs. LHPs?Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 4:58 pmWhat am I saying?
