Munoz is one of the best closers the game.
He has a 2.66 FIP .96 WHIP and 11.4 Ks per game

Brash has a 2.67 FIP 1.13 WHIP and a 10.2 K rate per 9

Demoting a closer with Munoz line for a guy with a worse line in the middle of a Playoffs race is absurd.
Thanks for pointing that out, the munoz animosity is off the hook. I'm confident Dan has no intention of demoting his closer at this point in the season. The guy is a premier closer, I don't understand what the argument for it would be. It be disruptive, the team is finally on a roll. Let's create a controversy lol.
I think with a closer it's less about those stats and more about nailing down saves. I'm guessing the proponents of Brash are thinking he's maybe a little less likely to blow a game.

Munoz is 26 for 32. Brash is 2 for 2.
Yeah that is it, but its not the way teams generally get managed. Fans seem to think they should be managed more impulsively, I see it as the Donald Trump approach lol. Baseball is conservative that way, players are conservative. They want to know their roles, be able to prepare for them. I think Wilson would adhere to the establishing of roles and sticking to them way of doing it, Lou did. It drove fans nuts how Lou stuck with Bobby Ayala, and no Ayala wasn't his son in law
