Was just pointing out what seems an oddity in his hit distribution. He was a fairly extreme flyball hitter before the all-star break but he had 16 doubles in the 1st half and only 3 since.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Tue Aug 26, 2025 2:18 amwould you rather he hit less homers and more doubles lol?Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Tue Aug 26, 2025 2:17 amCal only hits singles and HRs anymore.

it applies to the entire team, they are 3rd in MLB with 188 home runs and second to last in doubles with 180. I don't think its because you have a team of guys just good at hitting home runs. I think that's the T-Mobile effect, right there. It's really not that hard to hit a home run but it dampens line drivesSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Tue Aug 26, 2025 2:51 amWas just pointing out what seems an oddity in his hit distribution. That's certainly part of it, but i think Cal has been trying to elevate the ball to the point where his line drive numbers are markedly diminished.
