So being worn down has caused him to not take pitches outside the strike zone as often? Would have thought being worn out would have the opposite effect.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Tue Aug 26, 2025 4:09 amhe's wearing down, he's played nearly every single game of the season, it was going to happen. It being the ASG is coincidental. I think its insulting to his intelligence to infer that all he is interested in now is his homeruns.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Tue Aug 26, 2025 4:00 amI'm trying to diagnose the issue with Cal's hitting approach since the ASB.

yeah, he's tired, he's widened the strike zone as a result, his reflexes are slowing downSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Tue Aug 26, 2025 4:20 amSo being worn down has caused him to not take pitches outside the strike zone as often? Fuck Eddie Vedder and his stupid Cup 'o shit...
Hate the marketing bullshit with this team. It's geared to the shishkaberry crowd that dominates the Seattle sports scene.

Why is it the later it gets the worse Cal's swings are it's like he does well his 1 AB or 2 then the rest he F's it up. chasing bad pitches, Randy too. Make them pitch to you even if it's the bullpen. If JP can go oppo more consistently we'd be set. Naylor needs some work with Edgar too. Hey a win's a win though. I'll take it.

This is who Cal has always been as a hitter.
He's not particularly disciplined and not much of a contact guy... he's just tapped into a lot more power.

I can't even hear his name without thinking of this Weird Al song and now it's stuck in my head.
