yeah, both, at this point the Mariners should have the superior team, they are healthy, the astros are not. So in my mind the reason they would not win the division is they do not play up to their talent

Great! as of now we have to play BOTH of our worst RIVALS.

We really NEED the division. IF nothing else the homefield advantage since we SUCK butt on the road.

IMF they made the playoffs like this and then managed to get past the Astros and bluejays it would justify them being there in the first place.

WC1 (#4) is almost the same regarding HFA. Only difference would be in ALCS if it ended up being 3 vs 4/5.

4 seed is also HFA first round. As it stands today #3 = Host the Mariners.... #4 = Host the Red Sox.

If the Mariners slide up to #3/4 it would be the difference between hosting Yankees or Red Sox.

Main thing is just win some games. Need to get on a roll.
