I would much prefer they wait till they clinch the #2 seed and a first-round bye. After that, they can party all they want. And lots of time to party after they win the WS!

I think they understand there would be too much of an uproar if they gave it Judge.

Ichiro won it in 2001 and he was far from the best statistically. He was just an enigma, rookie... MVP sometimes is about the story attached to it.
