They need to make the trade for Skubal - give them either Kirby or Gilbert and some of our top prospects to get him - assuming we're given a window to re-sign him. It's obvious K and G are not aces as they have folded badly this offseason.

Hadn't realized he was so close to FA. Bora's is his agent, he's rejected extension offers from the Tigers. They would be looking for a record setting deal if you are going to get them to forgo FA.

Yeah I know there is a 1% chance they do it but it does prolong our window another 4-5 years. You could trade both Kirby and Gilbert to cover his salary a bit - then extend Woo and Miller to 4-5 years on a team friendly deal. That then gives open spots to the 2 kids we got coming but obviously we sign a journeyman arm or two for half the season.

We stand a better chance of signing Ted Williams frozen head for our Dh. On a crazier tangent how about just bring up our own yessavage and just bring Kade Anderson up when the rosters expand and run him out there every 4th game.

Didn't we pass on Yessavage for the Amphibian?

lol yup but even if we didn't, we wouldn't have moved him so quickly through the system. He would have made it to AA at best.

You guys are hilarious ready to run Gilbert out of town and talking like Yesavage is something special. They have literally the exact same post season numbers this year15 innings 7 Earned Runs. Yesavage was extremely lucky to wiggle off the hook a couple of times last night. Even in the second inning if Rivas ball is a foot higher his whole outing looks different.
