I put the game on pause for ten minutes there in the 7th because I didn't want to watch. I saw it coming. I then fast forwarded and sure enough...

The cheater of all people beat us.

Speaking of which, if you cheat in baseball the rewards just continue, don't they?

Yeah, wait till next year.... we have deadwood to clear out.... that Jays lineup is relentless.... we could be also. They will give the Dodgers all they can handle, IMO
Disagree 100% - LAD in 4 games easily. The Jays have no pitching - the LAD hitters don't suck as much as ours do - they will score 6-10 runs a game off their pitching whereas the dodgers pitching is also good - will hold their lineup down to 3-4 runs a game. It wouldn't have been much different if we won but we might have snagged a game or two.

The Dodgers have Snell, Yamamoto and Ohtani...plus Ohtani won't be injured this year. I really hope they demolish the Blue Jays.

His knee seemed to miraculously heal overnight too. He has a lot of Big Ben in him, not talking about the clock either.

For the first time, George is pitching really well, and you pull him after 4?

Why not let him start the 5th, or for that matter the 6th until he gets into trouble?? I just don't understand the logic.

We might not have even had the need for Bazardo if he lets him continue to pitch.
Manager Dan overmanaged. So did the Jays manager but not as bad as Wilson.

My power went out like the fourth inning. Sat around for four hours waiting for it to come back so I could know the outcome. Just pretty much a crappy finish entirely

I’m absolutely done with JP.

I feel the same, and have for a couple years. He's gotten to the point where it's rare that he actually makes a good throw to first on routine grounders and typically bounces it. Absolutely pathetic. And for some reason, he got it into his head that he's a power hitter with that extreme uppercut swing of his. I would love for him to be gone, but since he's under contract I believe for one more year, I suspect he's going to be a place holder till Emerson is ready, hopefully by mid-season next year.

Enough of Logan as our ace.

Gotta disagree on that. I don't believe he was fully healthy this entire season. His fastball topped out at 95 most days when he used to be 97 to 98 previously. He wasn't right. I think he's still one of the top starters in the game when healthy, and a potential Cy Young candidate. I still have complete confidence in him.

Our starters I think were over 7 era this series.

Yes, not good. Kirby was dealing tonight and I would have liked for Wilson to stay with him for one, maybe two more innings. He was throwing 98 to 99 at times which is above his usual velocity, so he was definitely amped up. Woo has been hurt so you can't blame him. Miller hasn't been healthy all year either. Castillo had a solid season, but he's hot and cold. That's just who he is, consistently inconsistent. Bottom line, health was definitely an issue all season, including the playoffs. I think we still have a very good starting staff. The only change I would make as far as the starters go would be to trade Castillo in the offseason as I believe he's regressing with age.

We just can’t have a homer or nothing offense.

This times 1000. Statistically, we are the worst team in baseball at getting runners in from 3rd with less the two outs. Not 2nd or 3rd worst, THE WORST IN ALL OF BASEBALL! Situational hitting MUST be a point of emphasis in the offseason and spring training next year. Having 9 guys go up to the plate swinging for the fences on every pitch of every inning just does not cut it, and it's frustrating to watch. That's not team baseball. That's hero and selfish baseball and it needs to change if they have any hopes of advancing even further next year.

I’m not even getting mad anymore. Fan since 1978, they will always let us down.

Been a diehard fan since their inception and although I'm upset and highly disappointed, (particularly when it looked like we might get it down after 6 innings tonight), it's not at the level I thought it might be which seems odd for me. I don't know what that means exactly.

Oh well. They are the mariners after all.

The curse lives on.

Our hitters just didn't hit...again! We had opportunities to score every inning except the last two but our hitters stink. Julio had a good game but his last swing to end the game was so god awful it was pathetic. He has been swinging at that all year - this offseason they should make him watch pitches for 5-6 hours each day till he recognizes them lol.

This boiled down to a 5 game series after the first 2 games. All Dan had to do was win 2 out of 5 and it was mostly on him. You never let a team score 13 runs on you when they were on their death bed. That gave them hope and oxygen and they were fearless after that. Dan showed his rookie colors.

Julio appears to decide before the pitch whether he is going to swing or not instead of letting the ball come to him.

Piss poor game management and sadly nothing will change. We get to celebrate how great we were forever.
