I think JD finally got a first round pick right with Gilbert. His starts are fantastic. I think he makes his debut about mid summer next year.

I have no idea. I think sometimes JD gets a grass is always greener so he is trying out all his dumpster dive finds. Once he finds a few Brennans then he brings up Altavilla, Tui, Warren, ertc.

I've given up hope for Altavilla.

I have no idea why. He had the same scouting report as Sugar Diaz upper 90's peak 100 MPH heat with a nasty slider. He has a 117 ERA+ and has shown ability to dominate both in the minors and at the MLB level. He has 5 walks and 2 hits in 2 outs this season I think the control issue is fixable.

He has sucked in the majors and AAA. He can't locate. He is not half the pitcher Diaz is. I don't care what any scouting report says.

He had a rough start to high A. It took him all of about 2 innings to figure it out though.

Hopefully his bout with mono boosted his immune system so he is now immune to the curse going forward. Best thing about going to ST is that you get to see that prospects up close and personal and even talk with him as I did Gilbert. Not even a conversation but I just asked him "Are you feeling better". Nice to have a connection so that you aren't just rooting for laundry as Seinfeld says.
