Gee, wouldn’t ya think that they’re being so close to the World Series, this clown would wanna stay?
Right, said the father to the son.
The greatest pleasure in this modern game belongs to the agents above all others.

Time for the M’s ownership to step up and show some cahones. Several excellent options out there even though they’ve not cheap

Good luck POLO with the New York pressure when you hit .155 for two months!
He's a streaky hitter anyway. I was surprised and loved his post season play but....he's injury prone...which leads to limited play in the field and hitting droughts we can do without.
His loss our gain.
IF we're truly serious about winning it all....we need a STAR Jerry in the infield. Go get 'em.

Thank you, Jorge Polanco, for your valuable contributions to a 2025 Seattle Mariner season that fell one game shy of the World Seriess.
Good luck in New York.

Either
A) Move JP to 2nd & insert Emerson at SS or;
B) Keep JP at short & sign Bichette to play 2B
That simple

What we really need now is a quality DH to replace polo.
That should make an easier position to fill but it will require some money and or a trade.
A switch hitter would be ideal.

Sign Murakami to DH.
Trade for Donovan.

The Mets reportedly are about $53 million over the first competitive balance tax threshold:
https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/new-york-mets/tax
Does that mean that Jorge Polanco's 2026 salary of $20 million triggers a 30 percent tax ($6 million) and/or a 45 percent surcharge ($9 million)?

The Mets might look to shed salaries to lessen the tax burden, but those are steep prices.

How would Cohen's quality of life improve if he opted to lessen the tax burden, Doug?harmony wrote: ↑Sun Dec 14, 2025 3:36 pmThe Mets reportedly are about $53 million over the first competitive balance tax threshold:
