Re: M’s sign Rob Refsnyder
It’s an OK play he could provide a right handed platoon option for DH with Rielly Wrightfield with Kenzo or vice versa and occasionally give nails a break versus a lefty, pinch hitter, etc.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Tue Dec 23, 2025 2:18 amHasn't done much anyways but stay on the IL or get suspended.
I’m just hoping it isn’t one of those you’re too late type of decisions
Re: M’s sign Rob Refsnyder
Ok, here is some goofy assed trivia:
“Refsnyder, who will turn 35 on Opening Day next year, was born in Seoul, South Korea, which will make him the fourth Korean-born player in Mariners history -- along with Shin-Soo Choo (2005-06), Cha-Seung Baek (2007) and Dae-ho Lee (2016).”
I don’t even know where to go with this.

I copied and pasted the bottom line and forgot to change his age to 35 yo. Uncanny similarities.

His mother has to be Korean. He definitely looks Asian.Big_Maple wrote: ↑Tue Dec 23, 2025 4:32 amOk, here is some goofy assed trivia:

Apparently they haven't learned from their long line of overpriced bums.
I wouldn't take this bum over either Robles or Raley, what's Dipollander thinking? Nothing like usual?
Re: M’s sign Rob Refsnyder
Right-handed bench bat that kills lefties. I don't think it's any more complicated than that.

Re: M’s sign Rob Refsnyder
Let's hope so, although this is a right-handed bat that's going from Fenway Park to T-Mobile Park. If there's a reason to be optimistic, his OPS against lefties the last two seasons has been well over .900, so maybe there won't be that much of a dropoff.
It's dumpster-diving, but as a depth piece it's not a bad get.

Well that is because we don't have a lot of leftiesCaptain 97 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 23, 2025 12:21 amCareer Backup, 10 years in the bigs with only 1550 plate appearances. He had a decent season last year playing in Fenway but he has a career .568 OPS at T-Mobile.![]()
