Re: Hall of Fame Season
Beltran certainly, and that's it.
Abreu was a great hitter but just doesn't wow me the way a HOFer should. Jones was on his way but suddenly and mysteriously at 30 ceased to be a good player. And Petitte is a classic Hall Of Pretty Good pitcher.
No on Felix, and no on the juicers.

Got rid of Mike Cameron... So there's the possibility of no inductee, it's happened before, that sounds pretty exciting
Re: Hall of Fame Season
Petite will eventually get in because he is a Yankee and because of his postseason prowess. Beltran can wait another year just because of the garbage scandal. Manny is Manny and will not get in now but will be in later.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 3:10 amBeltran certainly, and that's it.

Petite won't get in because He is a Juicer. He is on his 8th year and only got 27.9% of the vote last season.

Re: Hall of Fame Season
I forgot that he did that. And his postseason performance is a little overrated, he had a career 3.85 ERA/1.351 WHIP in the regular season and 3.87 ERA/1.301 WHIP in the postseason. Not bad, but not exactly Madison Bumgarner.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 4:30 pmBil522 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 4:17 pmPetite will eventually get in because he is a Yankee and because of his postseason prowess. He was to trades as Jack Z was to first round draft picks.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 1:54 amChoo put up -0.3 WAR for the Mariners before being traded for Ben Broussard who put up -0.7 WAR for the Mariners.
Choo went on to up up 35.0 WAR in his career and make $147M. Ben was out of baseball the following season. Bavasi had to be the worst GM in history.
Re: Hall of Fame Season
Still only 50 ballots in but Felix with a massive jump so far from 21% to 58%. If that holds he could get in by the end of the decade if not sooner.
