Frankly, it seems like he has given up, mentally anyway. Those numbers in AAA are gawd-awful.AlvinDavisFan21 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 6:36 pmI hope Kelenic does well in Chicago. I think a lot of other players would have given up by now. Kudos to him for persistence.

The most stunning for me was the 4 HRs in 399 PAs basically a 1 in 100 rate which is like 6 HRs in a full season. Power used to be the one thing that was always there for him. So bizarre it has vanished at age 26.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 8:36 pmFrankly, it seems like he has given up, mentally anyway. The guy goes through 47 batting stances a season. Mind is fully fucked.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 11:31 pmThe most stunning for me was the 4 HRs in 399 PAs basically a 1 in 100 rate which is like 6 HRs in a full season. Back in the good old days, we financially illiterate fans, actually spent our time discussing the Sadecki for Cepeda trade, or Frank Robinson for Milt Pappas, or Hondo Howard’s 500 foot home run in the upper deck in Center field!XpertDBA wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 8:15 pmI'm financially literate and have way more than I need to retire, however, you guys and baseball contracts are 10 levels above normal human processing. I come here just to read all your comments and am astounded how good you all are with managing baseball contracts.
Uh, the game, that is.
Now it’s hilarious hearing your average fan saying “I wouldn’t give any more than three years for 80 million, with an opt out clause after two.”
Bla bla bla.
How exciting, listening to accountants comparing contracts.
Yess!
Modern baseball is so endearing, eh?

Yeah, it's a major part of the game now, more in baseball than in other sports.Hy Feiber wrote: ↑Thu Jan 01, 2026 1:02 amBack in the good old days, we financially illiterate fans, actually spent our time discussing the Sadecki for Cepeda trade, or Frank Robinson for Milt Pappas, or Hondo Howard’s 500 foot home run in the upper deck in Center field!XpertDBA wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 8:15 pmI'm financially literate and have way more than I need to retire, however, you guys and baseball contracts are 10 levels above normal human processing. Agreed. He inly bridges the gap to the next available full time player. Whether its Colt Emerson, Geno, or someone outside the organization.bhofferb wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 11:40 pmEven if Williamson was Brooks Robinson defensively he needs to have at least a MLB average bat. Otherwise he's Evan White 2.0.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 9:25 amGreat comments section on the Mariners for Brendan Donovan offseason sweepstakes.
