Thinking we still are short a solid hitter L would think we could trade prospects for Yandy and let him DH.
Weird that he has never even been mentioned in all the rumors. I would much rather have him than Geno. He used to be a 3B so could certainly do it in a pinch.

You'd think Stanton would come to the realization that he has more money than time left and commit to going after the ring. There are still some difference makers out there and if we don't pick one off I'm pretty sure LA and Toronto still will along with the rest of the deep enders.

He already has 7 $100k a speech speakers lined up to deliver his eulogy singing his praises about how he loved profit margins and sustainability.

Any truth to the rumor that Nico Hoerner is available. If so they'd be stupid to not pursue him. 1 year remaining don't have to mortgage the farm. Sign up for that tomorrow. No reason JD shouldn't be in on both him as well as Yandy.

There was a thought that the Bregman signing might lead to that but it was quickly quashed today when it was reported that the Cubs would just pay the luxury tax. Imagine that. A team willing to pay money to put the best team on the field that it can.

Here's an interesting player. Had a bat that was ~ equivalent to guys like Alex Bregman and Fernando Tatis Jr. last season, can play 3B, and probably won't cost much.

Good guy to put in front of Williamson to push him to earn the spot imo.

Yeah I have checked out Andujar but they probably won't sign him because they would rather have Ben's noodle bat in the lineup because his D is so much better than Andujar's.

Not sure where to stick this, and I don't want to start a new thread for it, so I'll bury it in this one!

The Yankees are said to be pursuing Bo Bichette. This won't be a cheap deal if they get him, and they are already well over the $244MM luxury tax threshold (I read something like $304MM without Bichette).

So, if they do sign him, they will likely want/need to free up a little cash, and the obvious odd-man-out is Jazz Chisholm. He is in the last year of his contract and just agreed to a $10.2MM arbitration deal for 2026. Anyone here be interested in a trade for a year of Jazz?

He had a great year last year. 4.2 WAR, he batted a slightly anemic .242 but hit 31 homers, had an OPS of .813 and he's an above-average defender. He can play 2B or 3B, and obviously CF, but his true utility would be in bolstering an infield while the youngsters get a few hacks to figure things out.

I don't know what we would have to give up to get him, but seems like he could be someone the M's aggressively target as the pre-season draws nearer and we don't seem any closer to getting our "big bat".

Thoughts?

Not a fan of the human but love his bat and he would obviously be a good fit.
