Rivas will be the last man on the Bench. Platoons in RF with Robles and Raley and DH will Refsnyder and Canzone.
Cole and Colt in a battle for a roster spot. Winning will start other than vs. tough lefty starters.

Hilarious vid by Farkas (who you should all follow btw) Fans actually think the M's are going to bench or move JP for Emerson. Such Dopes. lol

That's what I was touching on not too long ago about what's-his-face, these are human beings but people assume that it works just like in MLB The Show. If they try to just make JP switch positions you've got a big problem in the clubhouse.D-train wrote: ↑Fri Feb 06, 2026 7:01 pmHilarious vid by Farkas (who you should all follow btw) Fans actually think the M's are going to bench or move JP for Emerson. At this point I don't think it will happen, but going into the offseason I thought there was an outside chance of a surprise JP move. Definitely not something I expected to happen, but not out of the question either. And if this season for some reason goes wrong, I could see them moving JP in July.D-train wrote: ↑Fri Feb 06, 2026 7:01 pmHilarious vid by Farkas (who you should all follow btw) Fans actually think the M's are going to bench or move JP for Emerson. That said, is it possible that they would move him to 2nd if his D continues to fade?
Re: This article confirms everything I have said
Yes. I believe that if the coaching staff and the front office saw his defense as a significant liability, they would try to see if a move to 2nd would improve the situation.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Fri Feb 06, 2026 7:24 pmThat said, is it possible that they would move him to 2nd if his D continues to fade?

He would have to develop the Yips and have like a dozen throwing errors or something or get injured. That is the only way he is moving off SS this season.

JP will finish out his contract with the M’s and enter free agency as planned. Jerry has a huge man crush on him and will never move him or trade him.
But I also think he won’t re-sign him in free agency next year - he will look to backfill from within.
JP is fine, but he’s the baseball equivalent of a box of Mac and cheese - fine if it’s all you’ve got, but not like a big bowl of artisanal poutine with braised beef, hand cut frites, beef gravy, and melted Swiss cheese.
JP tastes great and is less filling. Everything you always wanted in a shortstop, and less.

My analogy was moving little plastic Army men around in a sand box. lolDavidGee24 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 06, 2026 7:22 pmThat's what I was touching on not too long ago about what's-his-face, these are human beings but people assume that it works just like in MLB The Show.
