Im trying to envision a lineup with Refsnyder in the outfield and garver at DH. You can already field a right handed outfield with Julio, Robles, and Arozarena. If you wanted to get garvers bat in the lineup I'm not sure how you do it. Besides I think they go with Knizner anyway

Just takes one injury or sore leg. Or, even just planning Cal a day off and you have Garver/Refsnyder both in the lineup.

I think Wilson be as likely to use Knizer at DH as garver if Knizner is the only right hander he has available. It's not going to be about ops, it's going to be about handedness

Garver and Knizner won't both be on the team. I know they had 3 Catchers with Ford for a bit last season but you can't waste 2 bench roster sports with 2 shitty hitting catchers.

Who said anything about three catchers? For all the discussion I highly doubt Garver is on the opening day roster. They will go with Knizner as backup. I doubt there's anything more to this than because of the classic there is need for extra bodies and garver hopes to catch on someplace else

The M's are paying Garver $2.5 if he makes the roster. Knizner is only making a million and was just down in the minors . The pitchers like throwing to Garver, the M's know and like his presence in the club house. It is almost a lock Garver is the #2 coming out of camp.
