Astros trash can bang charts
I see the Astros cheated more than a few games against the Mariners. I see that April 5th game we lost 5-3, James Paxton was pitching that day. Though he was fine. I'm gonna see who was pitching for us in the others.
April 3rd it was Felix, and we lost 3-0. I remember that series. I was so frustrated.
July 17th we won 9-7 with Ariel Miranda.
July 19th we won again, and again they were trying to tee off on James Paxton.
And the final time they cheated against was AGAIN facing James Paxton, which they won 5-2. OHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! That just PISSES ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if he might have figured out the contact percentage to bangs?
Re: Astros trash can bang charts

He only broke down 58 games, so there could've been more games against the Ms. Basic gist is they did a lot of cheating.

Perhaps cheaters aren't born with a shame gene but I would have a hard time looking opposing players in the eye.DanielVogelbach wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2020 8:02 pmHe only broke down 58 games, so there could've been more games against the Ms. Basic gist is they did a lot of cheating.

Not only what Freddie talked about in that vid but every Astro hitter basically made a statement that we don't think we are good enough to beat you fair and square.

I’m going to send a request to Mariners management that T-Rex’s “Bang a Gong” be used as walkup music for the first Astro batter during their first visit to T-Mo this year.

Re: Astros trash can bang charts
The guys goes to the trouble of counting all the times the garbage can was struck for each hitter, so where is the data on how successful the hitters were when this occurred vs when it didn't?
Also, as I stated before, if this was having any appreciable impact on the ability of the Astros batters to hit the ball, why weren't complaints lodged immediately or at least at the end of the games. Are we supposed to believe that the pitchers and umpires weren't aware what was going on? Why couldn't MLB act on this in a matter of days or weeks rather than letting it drag on for months or years?

Re: Astros trash can bang charts
Mostly the data shows an increase in bangs as the season went on, so you get the idea that they tried it out and got great results with it. A pitch without a bang is not a pitch where they weren't cheating. I believe a non-bang is a fastball. The timing of the complaints and the punishments has always been strange to me. I don't believe the pitchers and umpires were aware of it at first, though. I believe that I attended games at Minute Maid Park when it was going on and I had no clue as a fan. It was subtle. You had to be listening carefully for it.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 4:17 amThe guys goes to the trouble of counting all the times the garbage can was struck for each hitter, so where is the data on how successful the hitters were when this occurred vs when it didn't?
