I am a fan. I only wish there were thumbs down or frowned faces we could also use to rate the posting or thread.

Frankly, the stars are a bit of an eye-sore on the index pages. I also don't like that it reveals who gave a thumbs up to a post. I don't know if it's possible but if you could set it up to only show the number of thumbs up (without the stars) that would be less distracting from just viewing the thread titles.

No their not. They add color to an otherwise bland-looking home page.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2026 12:29 amFrankly, the stars are a bit of an eye-sore on the index pages. Yes they are. They are distracting , unnecessary and add zero value to the forum.Walla Walla Dawg II wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 2:43 pmNo their not. Hey, welcome back - you've missed almost the entire golf season, mate. Hope you are well and see more of you on these pages.Walla Walla Dawg II wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 5:04 pmThen I guess that I'm wrong.
I am so sorry for the opposing opinion.

Thanks for the welcome back. I enjoy it here, but sometimes a few of the people here are just so hideously fucking stupid I have to take a break.mostonmike wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 5:25 pmHey, welcome back - you've missed almost the entire golf season, mate. We'll see about the "BRITISH" Open.

Well, we beta tested this, and the mob has spoken. Let's kill the thread and post rating system immediately.
You guys took one look at those stars and turned into a full Karen convention of hostile Yelp reviewers — every single discussion is getting 1-2 stars out of 10 like the thread personally ran over you dogs, undercooked your eggs, and shorted you on fries. It's less 'constructive feedback' and more 'angry mob with WiFi.

The stars make no sense.Big_Maple wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2026 10:07 pmWell, we beta tested this, and the mob has spoken. Let's kill the thread and post rating system immediately.

There's only a thumbs up option, so where are the other inputs coming from in the ratings?
Thought maybe it would start making some sense after awhile, but doesn't seem to make any sense at all.

I know. It doesn’t make much sense to me either - it seems like a good idea, but all the threads except the one announcing the rating system get 1-2 stars! WTF?!
