Griffin Conine is the son of former MLB outfielder Jeff Conine. The two make up a father-son duo who both played for the Miami Marlins. You can read more about their shared franchise history on MLB.com.

~Mariners need to stop chasing, dial down one degree on the bat speed, and make contact on anything in the zone. They are thinking too much at the plate.. The great ones don't think, they react. Dial it down a degree and react under control to STRIKES!!!!!
Insane irony that Edgar is our hitting coach.

Miller is pitching well, the Marlins are just reacting. They just yanked Miller's trousers to his ankles had their way with him on the liner down the first base line.

Canzone didn't react to the first strike, but he did react to the second pitch.....not too hard, just stroked it over the infield.

He has really been struggling. No one on this team other then Randy is really doing much. Missing Julio badly!!! He was heating up!!! Miss his energy. Just not the same.

Miller keeps his cool. Young and Emerson bails him out! We might see ten years of that. Shades of Alan Trammell (shortstop) and Lou Whitaker (second baseman)

Place your bets - Can the Mariners get more hits than walks in this game?
